    Lead Matchmove Artist

    Reporting to the CG Supervisor or Head of CG, the Matchmove Lead is responsible for all tracking/matchmove tasks in the facility, managing and supporting an internal team of artists as well working with outsource vendors. They will be responsible to guide the team, manage deadlines and ensure the quality of the work meets the project's needs. This lead role requires an in-depth knowledge of industry-standard matchmove software and a thorough understanding of film cameras, lens and onset data, along with management of the tracking/matchmove crew.  

    YOU CAN:

  • Produce tracked cameras / virtual sets from plate photography
  • Matchmove characters and objects using provided rigs

    You Can

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to Identify recruiting needs against current and upcoming project pipelines
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process  and candidate pipeline for all roles across all Luma locations (Melbourne, L.A., Vancouver)
  • Seek out new and creative ways to find and engage the most passionate and high-potential candidates, both passive and active while using recruiting metrics to drive your sourcing strategies 
  • Develop recruiting strategies and initiatives to identify top talent and retention
  • Partner with our business leaders and hiring managers to execute on our hiring strategies, meet hiring targets and ensure a stellar candidate experience
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with other studios for reverse recruiting strategies and private education providers to source junior talent, globally 
  • Review, analyze, and be well-versed with hiring trends, salaries, and relevant industry news to advise and develop recommendations on current hiring needs and initiatives
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, projects and recruitment events Above all, be a great ambassador for the company
  • You Have

  • 5+ years experience a full-cycle recruitment
  • Strong knowledge of the VFX, Animation and/or tech community 
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external professionals 
  • A consultative approach to recruitment; a strategic thinker who brings a problem-solving mindset to any challenge throughout the problem solving process
  • A multichannel approach to recruitment; inbound, outbound, referrals, events etc. 
  • The ability to multitask while keeping a high level of attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in one-on-one and large group scenarios
  • A highly motivated, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • The love for taking initiative, responsibility, and ownership for your work
  • Strong Critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Experience with championing diversity, equity and inclusion programs or initiatives
  • The ability to be an advocate for our values - Act with integrity, Be Reliable, Push for Excellence & Above all Else - Have Heart.
